The god you are having a problem with is the one you believe other people believe.
The reality is, you did not create yourself, nor the Universe. There is a creative principle, whether you call it the Tao, or Brahma, or God: it's not that fussy what you call it, or what you do or do not believe.
God has a reality, but it is not the reality that the "Bible Punchers" believe. You are wise to reject all and any organised religion, but do not deny yourself, an entire dimension of what you are, by closing your mind to the spiritual dimension.
If you actually read what Jesus or any of the great spiritual masters said, it so very different from what the Bible punchers say. Jesus said " do not cloth yourself in thoughts, and do not think about tomorrow for it's bad enough to be thinking even about today." "People say Heaven is here or their, but I am saying that it is right inside you." So he was talking about a state of mind, like a still pool devoid of the turbulence of think think think, where you will experience your own spiritual dimension. This is no different from the Buddhist idea of "sitting quietly, doing nothing, Spring comes, and the grass grows by itself".
The message is just be, be still, and experience the divine within your self, then you will know the answer to your question.

Actually I think the correct derogatory term is Bible bashers, but the truth is no we don't have an answer for everything but God does, and when we answer such questions it is from God's word.
I think you need to look at your reasoning here, if no matter what you ask there is an answer given, then perhaps you maybe need to look how this can be, and as such surely begin to recognise the truth of God's word, and how it is applicable to everything in life, and if so then is it possible that God is real and is showing you through these questions and answers this very truth???

Well it depends what you mean by bible punchers, I have faith in God, and come on here in the hope I might learn something, or pass on some of my knowledge, but I don't know everything, and would not class myself as a bible puncher, because they get on my nerves as well, but you look as if you are blaming God for what is going on in the world today, well before you do that I ask you one thing who has caused all the problems? Man Kind, not God, so why look to put the blame else where, maybe when man kind has the guts to own up to his mistakes we might just might stop making them, so the blame is much closer to home, and you don't need to believe in God to that.

God's bible "flingers" rather, do not have an answer for EVERYTHING because most of them twist God's word into things they like so they can make people perfect. So God don't give them answers. God lets such "Atrocities" to goon cuz he wants to take people to heaven who love him no matter what and have faith in him. If he let the world be peacful there's no point in Heaven.

They actually do have an answer for everything...some of my friends are Christians and no matter what you come up with they have some answer to defend God and the Bible. It actually does my head in...I swear they make half of it up.

We are talking about a God right? a supernatural being? isn't it possible that what he decides is beyond human comprehension? or maybe because since the fall of man humans have been pushing God out of their lives, we have kicked him out of our government and our schools and now that he has stepped aside we want to know where he is. I am reminded of the parent/child metaphor often used when describing God's relationship with man. I can see where this metaphor came from. I see the humans as the defiant teenage child that insists on doing things on his own but gets mad at his parents when things don't work out the way he wishes or when his parent no longer tries to guide him or protect him. Maybe God gave up on us because we gave up on him. or maybe, like I said earlier, it is beyond human comprehension. I personally like to think that God has his reasons and that he hasn't given up.

If I said to you, "Jump off this cliff and you'll die," and then you jumped off the cliff, whose fault would it be that you died?
The world is such a mess because people have chosen to follow sin instead of God. The Bible says, "The wages of sin is death." In little ways we see sin's results in sickness, suffering, and death. And, ultimately, sin leads to eternal separation from God in hell.
Now, you might say, "Why doesn't God just put a stop to it?" Well, there's a thing called free will. He could put an end to it and force us to obey him; but he'd have to remove our wills. And he loves us too much to do that.
So, you might say, "Why doesn't he just take away the consequences without taking away our wills?" And, while he's at it, he could make jumping off a cliff have no effect, have eating ice cream not make you fat, and have stubbing your toe not make you yell.
The point is that the world is created a certain way. There are actions and there are consequences. Which actions you take and which consequences you end up with are up to you. But God has provided a way to be saved through Jesus, who bore the consequences of our sin and rebellion in his own body on the cross, to that we wouldn't have to.
This world is like an egg, and we're like the chicken inside, only in it for a little while. Where we spend eternity is up to us.
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." -- Romans 6:23

The ability to choose to love must come with the possibility of choosing not to love, otherwise it is not a valid choice.
If God were to stand before you in all His glory you would have no choice but to believe because you would see Him as He is. He does not want to force you to love Him but wishes to be loved because you choose to do so. The question then arises if it is worth all the suffering in order to get some to experience love in eternity. In our finite existence we cannot possibly understand what this eternal state of existence would be like but to know that God is all powerful and justified in His actions is to understand the reality that love must be a choice.

I think you've got to ask better questions than that, or else you're going to get nailed by the bible cut-and-paste brigade.
I've said it before. unless atheists can come up with "tidings of comfort and joy" (i.e. a metaphorical blindfold before the firing squad), christians will not listen.

They are helped by the fact that everything we are suffering in modern life is exactly as predicted in The Bible. Your question is also fully explained.
