Well.... speaking from a patient's point of view.. I have to say that they are amazing people.. everyday they give, give, and give some more...

I know that there are bad doctors out there.. I have come across a few in my lifetime, but it's really up to you (the patient) to be pro active in the health care which you receive.

for the most part, doctors become doctors because they want to help... So how bad can that be??

I do respect most doctors, because i work closely with them. BUT i must also say that there is some drs ive seen that i REALLY disliked. Their bedside manners bad and sometimes they speak to patients without showing them respect and they totally forget about the principle of confidentiality. Luckily that doesn't happen to much. But Ive seen Dr's do really great stuff, so i respect them for knowing their stuff.
And I'm only scared of Dr's if they like really old, but they still try to do practical stuff like canulation or when they get all forget full and confused.

They scare the heck out of me. Even the simplest of drugs and procedures can cause massive harm as well as good, so if I have a minor illness like a cold or a stomach virus, there's no way I'd let them treat me. Of course, for big things, they're a necessity, and they're the pros at knowing the difference between the big and the little when it can be known.

I Love them.......because i m a doctor myself.though newly graduated and have very little expereince but enough to see the experienced doctors and their work........Literaly they give everything in this profession, their time, passion, life everything...i m lucky enough to do house job with some very good doctors of my area and what a fair peoples they are.......an idol, i must say ....can't explain.....only worrying about the patient in wards and doing everything to get them treated....in our ward our professors and other doctors has established a fund for poor patients and even some very expensive tests are performed through that funding.....I m happy that i worked with such unite !

Well i admit there are some bad doctors who care only for money and that is something very sad in this field.....but just like all other fields, you can see good and bad peoples in this profession as well.........As humen are same everywhere !

LOL, and we are not that scary !!

It usually depends on how confident they act. Yesterday I went to a hospital to have a splinter that's been deep in my skin for two weeks. A doctor poked a few holes around the splinter with a needle and then gave me the needle and asked me to try. He was shaking too. I looked at his badge and wondered if he was a doctor or the janitor.

Doctors, nurses, emt's, and all health care professionals, are my heros. Everyday, they go to work, and do nothing but help others, and save lives. You'll get answers from people who say their great aunt was neglected by some nurse, and she died.

But overall, they are awesome people who deserve our respect. And if you ask me they don't get paid enough, for what they have to do!

I respect them. Sometimes they treat you like a condition and not a person though.
