First, I dont think any two people agree perfectly on anything. Second, my in-laws were married over 50 years, until my mother in law passed away last summer. He was a avid atheist and she was a devout christian. They had a marvelous marriage and raised 2 wonderful sons, both atheists now. It can work. They respected each other and never tried to convert the other. I miss my mother in law. She was a wonderful person.

My husband is an Atheist and I am a Pagan. We have no problems based on our spirituality. We just fight about chores :) It's been 5 years, and the key is respect what the other person believes.

I'm a christian and I'm married to a man who doesn't believe in god, and it really bothers me, but it hasn't caused any problems between us. You can't help who you fall in love with. And you can't change who they are.
