I caught the end of a news special which said Splenda was being sued for false advertising, but I didn't hear all the details. Does anyone know? Thanks.

splenda is not bad for you... at least no one can prove that at this point in time.

splenda is made from the sweetner sucralose, which by the name, you know its a type of sugar. sucralose is about 600 times as sweet as sugar, so you only need very little of the actual compound. this is how it is zero calories. You would have to consume a lot of splenda to equal just one calorie.

the whole law suit is just from the other artificial sweetners cuz they are mad about their slogan, saying it dupes the public into thinking that splenda is natural.

im pretty sure everyone knows its a sweetner, so its kind of dumb. i like splenda. its so much better than all the other sweetners, and i personally like it better than sugar. not cuz it tastes better, but because its soo much closer to sugar than all the other sweetners and is zero calories. anyone watching their weight or is diabetic im sure is thrilled with this product.

Contrary to what their ads may say, Splenda doesn't taste like sugar. It tastes like another artificial sweetener.

I didnt hear that, but i do know it is bad for you, so maybe something to do with them claiming it is better for you than sugar or whatever.
