Good question. The Republicans want cheap labor to be able to make more money and have less expenditures. The Democrats want to have more votes...which I don't get because the last round of amnesty illegals in the 1980's don't want amnesty today...they see it as a bad idea.
Not only all of that but why do they want amnesty at all? Because if the illegals become US citizens then they would have to pay the wages that are offered to citizens and they wouldn't be able to pay them under the table which means more money going out.
My guess is what is at the heart of the matter, is the North American Union which is happening under our noses. US, Mexico and Canada as one nation. I know that it scares the hell out of me!

apparently noone cares with regard to the human beings in Mexico,in the event that they did the pro illegals would provide up using them as slaves and the politicians would provide up using them for votes, the Mexican government would help the undesirable in Mexico like Americas government helps the undesirable.unhappy element is human beings can purely help lots, until now we are undesirable ourselfs, economically and financially.i think of Our next president would desire to evaluate sending all illegals abode and using the money we spend on freebies to help their country come back on its ft,and forget approximately with regard to the construction the wall, spend that money on helping guy or woman households in Mexico get forward.

I have no idea. It bugs me when people keep talking about "fixing Mexico" so that the "illegal Mexicans" will stay there instead of coming here. That's a lot of crap!
We can't fix Mexico and we shouldn't have to. Let the Mexicans fix their own country. Why is that our responsibility? Beside, even if we did fix it, they would still come and Mexico would mess it up again!

People who support amnesty understand how unrealistic it is to expect that our government and law enforcement can round up 11 MILLION people and deport them. That number is TWICE the population of the country of DENMARK.....
Our law enforcement and FBI can't even find Americas Most Wanted or those on the FBI 10 most wanted list.....how do you think they could find and deport 11 million.
Impossible.

For those in Washington, its about votes, they are not fooling anyone with this, we feel sorry for poor people, wanting a better life. For many others around our country, they will give you this same, feeling sorry, but really they have a husband, wife, b/f, or g/f that is here illegally. But hard working Americans need to keep saying, No amnesty.

I agree pros want illegals here for their votes,Just by being counted in the census, illegals give political power to special groups. Many illegals fraudulently vote anyway and there is strong evidence that some key elections have been upset by illegal voters. Politicians represent the "people" even if those people are illegal aliens. Since the number of representatives in congress is fixed, any increase in population in California, for example, due to illegal immigration will require more representation for that group while taking away representation from people in other states. Most politicians that represent areas of large illegal population, vote in the interest of illegal aliens since they are the ones they represent.

1) Because the problems in all Latin America - not just Mexico - are far greater than those here.
2) Because many of the problems that shouldn't be so in the first place, were provoked by our government through imperialistic measures.

well because we care about people. And we deal with the people that are in the most dire need first. I am not saying that we don't care about America, but at least our government takes care of us.
