i recently broke up with my first love. i was his first love too and we were both heart broken. his first reaction was that he wasnt gonna let me go and kept trying to get back together. i loved him and it was hard on both of us. i finally told him that we r never getting back together and that i need him to stop coming over. at first he took it well. i knew he was hurt but he was ok. he said i was right and that all the fighting we did was unhealthy (the reason we broke up was because we fought too much over dumb things). well today he came over and cried and begged but i still told him no that it wasnt gonna work. well he found a pic. of me and a guy friend (i had my head on his shoulder but we really r just friends) and assumed that i had "moved on". he then said he couldnt live without me and has started talking about suicide. i hope that he is just saying things but i just dont know and im really scared. even though things didnt work out i do care about him. what should i do?

These type of breakups are always hard. You sound pretty firm on the fact that you don't want to be with him and you've gotta stick with that. He needs help. He may not actually be suicidal and just wants your attention. Call a helpline and give them his phone number so that they can speak with him. If he is serious, you just helped him out but if he isn't, I doubt he will mention suicide again after getting a phone call from a help line.

Im in high school, but from MY POV.

Go tell an adult NOW. This sounds paranoid, but suicide isnt funny, and if hes so desperate, he could wreck your rep. Just take it slow and tell him that just because you hang out with other guys doesnt mean youre cheating on him.

Its no worse than with him hanging out with other girls. Hes too overprotective and if he keeps this up go get a restraining order.

explain to him that the pic you saw was just a friend, and that you are heartbroken too, but you think this is for the best, and suggest he tyalk to a councelor, or a friend that may be able to help, and you do the same!
