God gave me a mind, my husband gave me a tape recorder. It does matter what you think, because whatever is in the mind eventually comes to life in action. Surely even an unbeliever knows this fact. I make many decisions in the course of a day, its just that my decisions I try to base on Godly wisdom, not what is the popular trend of the day or what some character at a bar tells me is the "right" way.

I would prefer to think of my mind as a little more sophisticated than a tape recorder... perhaps a DVD player???
I make my own mind up about things, and in actual fact the thing that makes me most wary about accepting anything that is unsubstantiated is that the louder people shout that something is true the more suspicious I become. If God exists then we wouldn't need Bibles, prophets, messiahs and preachers to tell us... it would be obvious to everyone. It isn't.

Free agency implies we have our own minds to make choices. Having said that, as children I would think in some ways our minds are more like tape recorders, in that children are listening and watching what adults (or older children) around them are doing and saying. It is so important to teach children correct principles when they are young, because it helps determine what they will think of God and others later on.

I have a mind that is better than any tape recorder, and It matters greatly what I think, since my reality is my thoughts manifested.
I do agree, the bottom line is: I decide what to believe.

Some go one step lower. They cut and paste the contents of others without reading it. This way, they can respond to questions without contaminating their ignorance with ideas.

God gave me a mind and a free will and I use it happily, gratefully, and responsibly because it is such a blessing.
