Here is the official Canadian Immigration website:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/
All forms, instructions and information is available on that website, and written very clearly.

In summary, there are several classes of immigration, including family class, for work, and more. If you have family in Canada, they can Sponsor you. Canada goes by a "point system", where each of these things accrue points towards the total: financial resources, education, professional degrees, other certificates or degrees in regards to career and employment, family living in Canada, and other items.

Canada is a great place to live, and full of immigrants.
