i was being stupid and playin with a zippo lighter and i forgot how hot it would be so i accdently touched the meta part that surrounds the flame. so i was wonderinghow do i treat it.

the skin is turning white and the area around it is red and it stings like a mother.

any tips?

Run the burn under cold water,dry,then apply Aloe Vera gel.

well i can be a total klutz about stuff like that (I actually put a lighter to my lip once on accident still have the scar!) oxygen to the wound is what really hurts so get some aloe..and if you don't have one laying around take some aspirin, and put your burn into some running water that way it won't get that much air on it. Good luck! I know it hurts so bad!

NO BUTTER!!! cool running water, standing water in a glass will keep the infected water in contact with the burn so run cool water from a facuet then let it air dry once its dry loosly wrap some gauze over it with a burn onitment on the affected area hope this helps

Cool water, and then something like Neosporin burn ointment. But do not but butter or oil on it like old wives' tales. That will seal the heat in. You can cover it for a day or two, but then let it breathe and keep it clean. When it turns to a blister, try to let it go instead of poking at it.

We've all done stupid things like this then wondered why, we did it in the first place, but I guess you have figured that out already. Aloe Vera, or Lavender Oil is brilliant on burns such as this. Good Luck.

Put your hand in cool water not cold! if you do it will hurt

3rd you wont feel it if u see it Dial 911 Immedatly!

you shouldve ran cold water over it for about an hour thenput neosporin on it and bandaid.
