It is a waste of American and Iraqi lives. Those in Baghdad have already moved, but the IED's haven't!

The commanding general in Iraq last week said their was NO MILITARY RESOLUTION OF THE WAR! What part of that doesn't Bush understand?

In the interim, his lateset budget has a 2nd cut for VA Hospitals, the 1st $100 BILLION in 2006, and it also has anothe taxcut for the rich!

We are beginning to see the treatment of our wounded!

Next he will want more money so sweat shops who have major government contracts to make MRE's and Body armor. They employed illegals, not Mexican's!

i understand President Obama grew to become into antagonistic to the conflict in Iraq, yet finally supported the conflict in Afghanistan. specific, Obama did say that he will began a phased withdraw of troops from Iraq, with quite some the troops being out interior a 12 months. on condition that 9-11, our purpose has been to capture or kill Osama Bin laden and harm The Al Qeada terrorist team and their allies. i presumed then and that i think now that Afghanistan grew to become into the only place wherein troops ought to have ever been despatched to accomplish this purpose.

GWB puts in his request based on what military leaders ask of him. You silly fool, you don't have to respect the president for wanting to make a success out of our effort in the middle east, because most democrats would like to see the US fail, and so many young people fear the draft to the point, they are ready to cut bait and run for fear of being drafted and asked to do their part in keeping this country safe. So, which are you, the treasonous democrat, or the shameless coward ?

In Afghanistan, our cowardly allies in Europe, except for a very few, are not holding up their part in the NATO agreement, therefore the US and Great Britain are picking up the slack for these shameless, leaderless country's! We will not allow al Qaeda and the Taliban to regain another foothold in this country, the build up of US and British troops is necessary to prevent this.

Since the President decisions are based on Field Commander's recommendations and needs....then we should send them.
The President doesn't just flip a coin to make decisions....He has facts,,, I know Liberals don't understand that, sorry.
If I was of age, I would have been there, which is more than I can say about all the whining cowards that want to surrender...Stand up, Enlist, Serve your Country, Protect yourself and the citizens, and our wonderful way of life......All the Peacenik Hippie Cowards make me want to puke

I think we should poll the troops that are already over there. If the majority thinks they need more troops, send them. If they don't, then keep them home.
They are really the only ones who know if they need more troops or not. Not stateside politicians running statistics through some dammed military ops program.

I personally hate the idea...my husband is leaving in less than 30 days.....while i'm worried sick about him going, his "typical aviator" attitude is clearly different from mine.
He's ready to go use his training and fly his longbow and do the job and get it over with....and then, in 18 months he'll get to come back home...AHHHH!!!

I support this last effort for Iraq's stabilization and we should support our President in this endeavor. Progress is being made with this plan and to stop it before completion is ludicrous!

I feel like it's pointless unless and until we stop fighting a p.c. war and start fighting to win....it's high time to take off the kid gloves and finish this thing.

it is a move in the right direction but it is not enough the original level of troops should have been at least 300,000.
