The key word is EX. Run like mad and don't look back. It's so sad but true, there is a reason it didn't work the first time and he now has a girlfriend. If it was going to work to begin with he would still be with you.

the pattern is well known, just don't bother and give him the cold shoulder,- this is all nonsense- he has made his decision and you are free again,-keep it that way, you have nothing lost but trouble,- do you want tomake that your business? I would not entertain it for one minute.
if he has a new girlfriend, then that is it, let him get on with such,- and you get on with your own life,- there is many shells
on the beach, just look out for it and tell him to get lost.

Tell him strait out. That if he really has feelings for you then you won't be his play thing on the side. And that if wants his current girlfriend then he can't have you. Don't let your self get played. I should know!

If you don't have anyone and you feel the same way about him then tell him he needs to choose otherwise he will be running back and fourth and you will be in a love triangle. That's not good because someone will get their feelings hurt really bad eventually.

If he has a girlfriend, but likes you, that's your hint to stay away.
Even if you do like him back, what makes you think he won't do the same to you. If he can fall for you with a girlfriend, what stops him for falling for another girl while he's with you.
