well a hot comb is like a straighting iron, but its a comb u heat up either by the stove, a mini heating oven or its electrical..they were made specifically made for african american hair..so i dont know if it would work on ur hair texture..some of my friends wanted to try to use but they always back down in fear of it burning their hair.

A hot comb is a metal comb that is heated, then combed through extremely curly hair to straighten it. You plug it in and it heats up. But hot combs can permanently damage hair just like any other hair device.
