No, it is a question of law, not race. A person of any race can be in violation of our laws.

It has been said on here a million, no a billion times that the illegal immigration issue in America is not a race issue!!
Illegal is not a race!!! What is so hard about that to understand????????
If the people from Central and South America want to come to the US to work and to get a better life, then Americans welcome them as long as they do it LEGALLY and become American citizens and learn to speak English!! Millions of immigrants also came to the US to get a better life too. They became citizens. Why can't illegals????????

NO . . this is NOT a racist issue in any sense of the word. I love Mexico, I love Mexicans, and I hate walls. The Mexicans only want the same thing that everybody else wants: the opportunity to earn a living. But you can't have a secure country and have people sneaking across the border.
The fact is that at any given time there are around 100,000 people waiting patiently to get into the USA. The filled out all the paperwork and jumped through all the hoops to enter the country legally. Along come ILLEGAL aliens, who jumped ahead of the line and snuck across the border. Is that fair to all the people who are trying to do it the legal way?
If the USA opened the borders to all Central and South Americans, THEN it would be a racist issue . . . what about all the Europeans and Asians?
Mexico should be a prosperous nation with no need for people to leave to find work in the USA. They have plenty of natural resources and the people are proud and hard working. It's not my fault that their government is corrupt at all levels.

its becoming racist. on NPR a South/Central American family that moved to tennesse found a burning cross from the KKK on their lawn one day.
i dont think that people intend for what they say to be racist, but it really does seem that way. if all of the illegal workers in the USA were to go back to the countries they came from. The only people that remain would be the Native Indians.
To me alot of people see Central /South America as lesser. It is human nature to be this dumb. If you know of the saying "You dont know the true value of something until it is gone." Thats the way i look at it. (sorry i dont mean to offend anyone here) alot of illegals that come here do the jobs that alot of people dont want to do. How many kids aspire to work long days picking fruit and vegetables. getting minimum wage, not even minimum wage because alot of employers take advantage of the workers they know to be illegals.
So uh yea i dont know. racist maybe,
it may turn into a racist issue, i hope it doesnt. And to me the workers that do such jobs arent lesser. maybe its the jobs they do that make people look down upon them

ok, there is not even a question...we as americans are not being racist by having a problem with ILLEGAL workers...we are putting up a fence because our society is changing due to the people that will not come into our country legally (i have a friend teaching in public school and she is being forced to learn spanish just to keep her job). it is not that the people of central and south america are lesser than us...but if you want to live in our country do it legally

The idea of the fence is not racist. If a European tries to sneak into the USA he has to do it through an air or seaport and get past at least two layers of security. That is our "fence." It is impractical (at the moment) to have airport-style security along our land borders, so we choose to build a fence. As the southern border is where most illegal immigrants enter the country, it makes sense to prioritize and build it there before tackling the northern border.

Wanting to protect your country is racist? What a BS argument! If you were around the massive illegal aliens you would be able to see that the people who are illegal aliens don't do anything to benefit this country...in fact they end up bringing TB, Hepatitis, drugs and poverty with them...I guess getting sick from workers who are ill and work in the food industry is Ok to the people who are pro illegals. You DO know that immigrants who come here LEGALLY have a medical physical to make sure that they don't bring in anything that would harm the US...it is a physical to protect the American citizens.
As far as the fence goes...good fences make good neighbors.

They ILLEGAL alien criminal issue has absolutely NOTHING to do with race!!!!! It doesn't matter if they come from China, Canada, Mexico or France. If they are ILLEGAL they are not suppose to be here!!!
When people want the ILLEGAL alien criminals deported they are not being racist. They want our laws enforced!!!!!!
I am so sick of being called racist! I am not a racist.

An illegal alien is not a race.
Illegal aliens from over 100 countries were deported last year.
The majority of the illegal aliens are from Latin American countries, so the majority deported are naturally Latin American.
Simple math.

No it is economic. The illegals cross over and take all the jobs. They depress the wages because they will work for anything. They bankcrupt the social services because alot of them won't work. A few of them are criminals that just rob and steal and peddle dope. They put excess burden on schools. You name it.
The only good side is that the employers and corporations get dirt cheap labor. The employers are the real criminals here as it is against the law to hire illegals. It is because of them that they come. If there were no jobs for them, they would not come here.

all illegals should be deported and a big a$$ wall needs to be built along the southern border.
i have a story to tell. my friend's dad is a chemist that works for a pharmaceutical company. he wanted to hire a brit that had a PhD in chemistry, however he couldn't because the quota was reached for that month for british immigrants. however their were tons of mexicans he could hire that werent qualified at all but wanted jobs, they didnt even know what they were appling for, some of them. he ended up not hiring anyone becaus ethe brit got a job in england before the month ended.
