No, in fact I think they're very brave people. o deal every day with the thing that scares you the most is an amazing achievement.

I'm pretty messed up about size 0. I hate what it does to woman, but everytime I see Victoria Beckham I think 'I SO wish I looked like that'.

The whole subject is intriguing it's unbelievable that we are such an educated world yet we are obsessed with looking thin. I hope your recovery goes great. If you have living tv + 1 theres a show on right now about extremem skinny models. I think the government needs to intervene by not allowing these size zero models to work. Like other jobs I think models should pass a medical check before they are a allowed to work. I do not feel any prejudice against people with eating disorders but I do feel sorry for them, they must suffer a lot of mental torture and their bodies must take a real hammering, I think the media are very responsible for the warped view people have of whatscute, pretty, cool, thin and fat. If in the future size zero models were banned and people in the tv and media industry could only be employed if they were in a healthy weight range, the children watching them would have realisitc views of body size. and maybe eating disorders would be fewer.

Iam weight conscious but not with an eating disorder, I don't feel anything against people with anorexia as i don't against any person who has been unwell for any reason. How you became ill and the reasons are your business nobody Else's and you don't have to share them with anyone unless YOU want to! I do feel one thing though and that's this - If you can recover from something so serious as anorexia then you are a fantastic person with more strength than you know - Well done!! As for the size zero thing, I'm glad i dont weigh that and I think we should focus on people's natural inner beauty in the public eye rather than make people conform to something that's unnatural for most people.

I think some people make the mistake of thinking eating disorders are a lifestyle choice rather than a serious illness. It is often assumed that anorexics are attention seeking, sad really when most of them are actually trying to fade from existence. With regards to the size 0 debate, not many people are that size normally.I think it's sad that grown woman would aspire to having the body mass of a seven yr old. I don't think it causes eating disorders directly but for someone with a fragile sense of mind,or a tendency to eating problems, then it could just push them over the edge. Well done for addressing your problem,I hope you and your recovery continue well.

I weigh 95 lbs and am 5 feet tall. My brother is 6 feet tall and weighs a good deal more than he should. I have been thin ever since I was born. He has been overweight but he doesn't eat that much. I have seen him eat like a bird not like a man and he still is overweight. He's bright, funny, kind and would make a girl a wonderful boyfriend if they could look past his weight. He keeps himself clean, well shaved, and dresses well. I don't look at the outside. I look at the inside. I suppose you'd have to have experience with someone with a disorder to know how to treat someone with a disorder.

Size 0 is pitiful. It's to thin and I should know.

I feel compassion for people who are obese or anorexic-- neither is healthy, and I doubt very much that either person enjoys life all that much. I consider both an outward sign of an internal illness, either mental or physical.
My feeling on size zero: If you're a size zero, you're nothing.

Recover soon.

to me a word is a word, it's all in the context it's used. but a disorder IS a disorder, why should people hate you? like any other disorder they should want to help but not redicule and not criticise.

the zero debate, did you see the tv programmes where two women celebrities starved themselves to be a size zeroas, for the sake of curiosity and for the sake of tv programmes. they said it made them poorley. and the dawn lady? she was slightly curvy, a size 12 looked great on her because she was so tall and not even slightly overweight, but, typical lady, she has isssused with her appearance. so she went on this "diet", lost her friends, social life, she was depressed, lost all the foods she liked, she was tired and depressed all the time. when she was hungry and tired and feeling ****, she felt accomplished and veryt happy with herself.
But it's not right, she was gorgeous before and she didnt see that because there was ridicule when she visited california- from a guy who makes size zero dresses for famous women.

people should look how they want, but within healty reasons. and removing size zero models with bring teenagers up with a more realistic role model, rather than thinking to themselves "i want to be as beautiful as that celebrity, i must be that weight so i can fit into their clothes and have that hair and be that beautiful"

When I was anorexic, I thought that thin automatically meant beautiful and that people over a certain weight couldn't be attractive, or refused to take care of themselves. Now that it has been 5 years or so, I realize that the most beautiful people are not the superskinny ones but girls whose weight is normal, are healthy and have feminine curves

People who have issues with any type of eating disorder, whether it means thinness or obesity, are either jealous or ignorant (as in uneducated) Just my opinion.

I try to remember there is no way one can understand what happens in the mind/body of another. I try to look at the source and not hold a grudge with the ignorant ones.
