He was a revolutionary. He would not take kindly to politicians co-opting religion for their own ends no matter what their party.

Also, yes, Jesus told us to turn the other cheek, but He also drove the moneylenders out of the temple with a whip and expelled demons. There is a time when you turn the other cheek and walk the extra mile, but there is also a time for driving out evil.

I wouldn't say Jesus was a liberal. I wouldn't say he was a conservative either though.

HERE'S A SERIOUS ANSWER

Liberals believe in nonviolence over all else, regardless of the situation. Liberals believe that there is always another solution beyond violence.

Jesus preached nonviolence indeed, but he did not always practice it. Remember when He threw (forcefully) the moneychangers out of the temple? He was quite violent at that time. He did not preach, argue, or reason with the moneychangers. He took a staff and smashed their tables and wares, and ran them out of the temple. This was God's house, and He could no longer stand to see it defiled in that way.

This is why Jesus was not a liberal; he takes action when necessary. While I believe that all people, Republican and Democrat alike, pray for peace, liberals will not take that next step and use violence even if necessary.

Yes! Its the Truth that sets us free. He knew the right and the best way even High Teachers of that time cannot accept His teachings, instead, they call Jesus a blasphemer. The same thing happens today. When denouncing traditional ways, we may call them wrong, but they have the biggest point And thats how God shame those leaders who forgets what is important to HIM! But always remember that we aRe imperfect and we always lack wisdom, so be very carefull in anything we say and do. If we find a better solution, maybe thats not the best.

I believe that Jesus was a liberal gnostic Jew. That is one reason that I like him so much. Too bad men had to come along and ruin his message by twisting it into lies.
