girls(especially feminists) are always talking about how guys are so shallow because they are attracted to good looks and don't accept girls for who they are, but what about girls? first off, guys aren't that picky. we don't need girls to look like supermodels. i can be turned on by girls who are average or good looking. it's true that most guys don't look at ugly girls, but do girls look at ugly guys? however, for me, i'd consider about 20% of girls ugly. the rest are good looking or average. most girls consider about 50% of guys ugly, and only about 20% good looking. and on top of this, most girls will only be sexually attracted to average guys if they are talented or popular. and also, if an ugly girl hits on a guy, he'll probably take it nicely. but if an ugly guy or an average guy hits on a girl, she usually finds it 'creepy' or 'awkward' and is rude about it. it's really girls who are being pickier than guys. so why is this never acknowleged?

i believe that if guys and girls just follow their sexual desires and don't try to be more open, they're shallow. but how come most girls act like this only applies to guys, but it's not shallow for girls to only follow their sexual desires?

the percentages are an estimate. it's from my observations of girls. most girls who are honest will admit that it's true though.

I've dated ugly people. I've dated guys that are 6'3" with perfect skin, and I've dated guys who are 5'8" with bad acne.
I'm just not that shallow. I like:
dark hair
dark eyes
chest hair that makes you think of the 1970s
even with that I have dated guys with blonde hair and blue eyes that are nearly hairless.
I don't descriminate. I can fall in love with a girl.. to me it's the person, not the body. I can have fun with any body- I can't have fun with every personality.

I agree with you to some degree. Everyone is shallow to a certain extent whether or not they want to admit it. I have grown in the respect that I am finally able to admit that I am somewhat shallow. I will not continue to date a person based only on their looks if they have an awful personality but I do find it important to be attracted to the person I am with and I think most people are the same way if only they were willing to be honest with everyone else and themselves. I am not sure if women in general are more shallow than men but I do think it is wrong for a woman to talk about men being shallow when they know that they are shallow also!

Someday when your more mature this issue won't even bother you. And hopefully you will find a girl that is crazy nuts about you! You sound pretty smart, but just make sure your not arrogant. In fact I've noticed some of the prettiest girls with the most average looking guys. Focus on your spirit, find things to think about that lift you up not bring you down! Instead of looking for the right one ... Be the right one!

You're stereotyping us girls with your percentage. Do you even have sources for those percentages that you have given us? Not ALL girls are like that. And not ALL guys are shallow and all that stuff that you said. So to answer your questoin, the reason why this was never acknowledge is because everybody is different. not ALL think the same about a certain topic.

I hate the double standards that do seem to exist for guys and girls. It starts early. Parents raise their daughters to have nice manners, to protect their virture, etc, but often leave their sons to their own devices and even laugh about their misadventures, to put it mildly. I'd raise a son or daughter with exactly the same values. Some attractive girls really do seem to "trip" on themselves. There's no excuse for rudeness no matter what you look like. I think it shows ignorance to so quickly judge a "book by its cover."

because even on top of all the information provided above, girls are the ones that can get pregnant. I guess that kinda cancels out everything your said. Thats y girls are help up to double standards, and thats why if a guy has 3 girlsfriends he is a playa and if a girl has 3 boydriends she is a whore.

Hey, I don't want to be rude or anything, but I believe that all men are attracted to anything that has a hole in it, including girls (SEX). While it's more of an emotional thing to girls. Girls don't think about sex FIRST when they choose someone.
