I have been married 8 years, things are okay, but could be a lot better. The issue is, he's a complete homebody. Never goes out, has no friends at all besides me, and does not want any. That said, I do want to go out and do things, but have very few friends to do so with, in fact, none where I live. My pals are in NE and Canada! What do I do? Do I sit there with him in the easy chair and rot away or what? I want to go places by myself, but he says it's too dangerous, watch your back. Please help...any advice appreciated!

Just tell him,you need to go and get out of the house.Tell him that you want to do things outside the house.Get the keys and tell him you are going for a drive or to the movies and he is welcome to come, but let him know that you are tired of not doing things and you need time from the house. He can not expect you to stay inside all the time.Does he think you will go out and find another man?

get outta that easy chair. you are to young to be acting like seniors! tell him you need to take some adventures and add variety to your life.. plan a trip to visit NE and Canada now and then.. invite hubby to come along, but go by yourself if he declines.. you can't let him hold you back from realizing your dreams.. no need to rot away just because you are married!

You should definitely go out and make friends, and definitely try to get him to go out with you. The reason people end up old and grumpy is because they're not getting everything they want out of life. You need to live your life to the fullest, do what you want to do, and do it with the man you love. Tell him you're still young and you want to go out and have a good time, and you want him by your side.

Honor your husband but be yourself. You can not continue to exist living like that. Grab him by the hand and go dancing.

Keep trying until you find a activity you both will enjoy together.

he is trying to look out for your.. but I would try to get out of the house some.. try to convence him to do so also.. cuz anyone can experience fun.. like boweling and skating .. just make it like an surprise.. I mean since you been married .. he should trust you enough to do those things with you...
