My friend has recently asked me for advice as she is torn between two guys who are both interested in her. I am her best mate so she doesn't go to anybody else for advice. She is a very pretty Chinese girl (and when I say pretty I mean drop dead gorgeous). The first guy pursuing her is Japanese. He's very nice but quiet. My friend likes him very much. The second guy is White-British. He's fun and makes her laugh. Since she is fond of them both equally she does not know what to do. No jokes please...she can't have both of them of course! Any advice? Serious answers only.

Oh, I want to mention her parents are very conservative. They want to only date a Chinese guy but obviously she's not going to listen to them!

Thanks for the description, by the way, its not offensive at all, its just a description.
If she really likes the Japanese guy then she should go for it. The fact that the other one makes her laugh is nice, but sounds like shes more into the first one. If it doesnt work out, maybe she can date the white guy if hes still around.
Shes got nothing to lose. Why doesnt she flip a coin.

Seriously: sit your friend down, let her concentrate on both guys for a minute or two, then pull out a coin - Japanese guy could be heads, the other guy tails.
Toss the coin in the air.
By the time the coin's safely back in you hand, your friend should know which one she likes the best.

Have her go with the Japanese guy. Plus, a quiet guy isn't bad to have around in the mornings when you really just want to enjoy your cup of coffee and play sudoku in peace.

my best advice is: if she likes them BOTH date neither. be mates, it will all become clearer in time. she will probably find that the one that makes her laugh will turn out to be a better friend than b/f anyway. that's how it always worked for me before i got married to a man i both liked very much and made me laugh. the other guy may also turn out to be a good friend, as once the initial honeymoon period is over, if he doesn't make her laugh, then she may get bored and regret her decision. KEEP THEM BOTH FRIENDS AND YOU GET TO KEEP THEM FOREVER.......

I don't know why she couldn't date both of them and other guys, too, if she wanted. Since when is dating meaning "exclusive relationships" ? That's the fun of being young and single. She has plenty of time to tie herself to one guy only...that is called marriage.HA

i agree with joanne. she should be friends with both until teh best man wins but hey ho, they both cant wait for her forever so what would happen if they got a girlfriehnd each? she would have to reach out b4 she looses totally. now thats soooooo upsetting :(
