regularly on my dog she does pick up the odd tick now and then. The vet has tested all her vital signs, temperature, heart and anemia and finds nothing. She has no energy and doesn't eat. We are giving her vitamins and the vet injected her to combat any virus, but nothing is working. Could it be Lyme desease?

Frontline does really work well for ticks. Plus, she could have been bitten by a tick the size of a pin's head, so you may not have caught the tick in time (it needs to be feeding for 24 hrs before limes gets injected into the system)
There is a limes disease blood test- you can try that. Signs for the disease vary a lot for each individual. Severe cases- sudden death (in a few cases) and major arthritis, lethargy, fevers, etc. Mild cases- a cold or a fever. Most lymes disease bites don't even have the characteristic bulleye's ring.

There are other tickbourne diseases as well. I am not sure of your specific area, but most ticks can carry a couple diseases, all of them pretty bad. A girl I know actually just got one that causes kidney failure- she is on a transplant list now.

I live in an area where Lyme is very serious not only for animals but for humans too. I've had it twice so far. Anything is possible. Did your vet do a test for Lyme? I don't mean the quick in the vets office one but the one they have to send out?
Usually Lyme in dogs is seen by the dog suddenly losing control of their legs and having sudden joint distress can also cause what your describing too. It's a tough thing to call down where your are but the vets up here in CT jump right on it because they know.
Hope you find out very soon whats ailing your pup.

You need to find a Vet that uses the 4 DX Heart worm antigen snap test. It will test for several tick diseases. It is a simple blood test that gives you results in 8 minutes. Not expensive either.

Fleas/Ticks are a major pest. There are various species of fleas - cat fleas, dog fleas, rat fleas and rabbit fleas.
You can get rid of them by the safest and cheapest methods like boric acid.

change vets, if you believe something is wrong with your dog go to a vet that will take care of your dog, not all vets are great, remember they are human and not all perfect.
