Is it just straight rebellion, ignorance, wickedness, pride, insensitivity, fear, or anger, or a combination thereof?

Many people don't deny there is god, but rather accept that god is a metaphor for the unknowable. Too many people get hung up on those metaphors and taken them literally.

Er, it's the fact that he doesn't exist, as strongly suggested by the complete lack of evidence for the existence of a God.

Your list simply indicates that you're prejudiced against atheists, particularly as "ignorance", "wickedness",
"pride", "insensitivity", "fear" and "anger" are characteristics that lead to believe in God, not to atheism.

As a "question", this was really pretty ignorant and immoral, and reveals that you have no faith whatsoever.

it is becuz some believe it is totalli impossible, such as i. i think it is outrageous about how many ppl die every day and how god can't save them. some may just be afraid of it, anger could be about how many have died that they love. rebellion for need to be independent, ignorance becuz it is just too impossible for them to believe. wickedness, i can't help you ther. pride beucuz they have their own beliefs and they won't let anyone tell them different. so yes i think it may be a combonation thereof, it is an odd thought

Umm.. First off you are saying IF he doesn't exists. If his existance is even up for debate or a matter of question then why would it be rebellion, ignorance, or wickedness?

If there is proof against God and religious belief then wouldn't it be logic and intelligenceas a reason to deny him?

Your question begins with a condition clause, "If there is a God..." which suggests that there is some doubt as to whether God exists or not.

Since there is some doubt, it is possible for people to believe in either.

If they believe there is no God, they are not denying that he exists, they are stating what they believe is true.

Let me know when you resolve that doubt, won't you?

There is an evil called SATAN that whispers on the hearts of humen beings to mislead them on the right path of believing in God. Truly he is a great enemy to the humen being, but we understand not. SATAN's goal is to mislead all humen being from the straight path to paradise and wants all of us to suffer in Hell for eternity. But SATAN dare not to come close to the guided humen being who believe in God faithfully. I hope I answered your question.

The ones who deny He does not exist, is because they are not able to see the grandeur of all that exist. They have eyes but do not see and ears but they do not hear. Lets increase our capacity of AWARENESS and we will see The One Who Gave us Life everywhere, but with low density in inert material, bigger in plants and biggest in a mother who is offering her life for her baby who is going to arrive. Send to me an email and I will send as a gift my book AWARENESS in format e-book

There is no proof of the existence of deities; nor is there any proof that they do not exist. It is just something that is not able to be empirically proved by humans, and as such, I do not feel that my time is well served by depending on thin air.

I prefer to be there for my fellow human being - which is very real.

If there was a god, and it bothered him so much when people don't believe in him, why wouldn't he leave some sort of believable proof of his existence? Would that be too taxing on his omnipotence or something? If you believe he exists, it should obvious to you that he doesn't really care whether I believe it or not. So why should you?
