Many (if not most) churches prevent members of other denominations from sharing in communion during their worship services. And they may also restrict their own members from taking communion in other denominations.

Should such restrictions be removed and therby allow any Christian to take communion with any other group of Christians?

Good question and good point. I say yes and yes if one is into that.

First please do not get offended or feel threatened for I do that to no one. I just state my opinion and stop right there.

I do not call myself a Christian because there are so many views of that word, I just do not want to get involved with it. By that I mean almost every so called Bible toting individual calls himself a Christian yet the all can not agree with one another as to what a real Christian is suppose to do. One good example is here in your question.

I am a "NO", a 100% "NO" thus I attend no church called a church by most. If I do have my own kind of communion O do it at home so I am never refused to participate in it. My faith and practices are between me and my God, thus no man made rules stand in my way except the rules I have for me. I am willing to be responsible for them and of course accept that I will be held accountable for an resulting consequences.

Do you now understand me a little better?

Have a good day, smile and keep enjoying this Q&A.

If Jesus died for our sins why should the "the church" deny anyone to partake?

My church has open communion. And we will even have been known to have joint communion with a church of a different denomination! (gasp!)

So if it's not already obvious, my answers are Yes and Yes.

Unfortunately, man makes rules when churches deny Communion to anyone. People have a right to take Communion anytime anywhere, according to the bible. God is our only judge and therefore, man (or church) has no right to make the rules.

There should be no restrictions. There aren't any in my church. All are welcome to partake during the communion services.

The only restriction I've read in the Bible: "For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep." [sleep in this context means died.] 1 Corinthians 11:29, 30

Since no one can read the heart but God, and since it's a personal responsibility, it should be left up to the individual, not church dictated to partake of communion.

first of all christians are not appropriate. in basic terms forgiven. Going or no longer likely to church has no longer something to do with the non secular condition of your coronary heart. in view which you reside interior the flesh you will continuously sin. yet pre-pondered sin, like pre-pondered homicide is an entire diverse ball activity. in case you nonetheless have it set on your suggestions to do it then you definately are no longer sorry and pleas for forgiveness are meaningless. it particularly is like announcing forgive me yet i'll shoot somebody later. It even sounds ridiculous. The Bible says in case you have something against yet another to place the communion aside, bypass artwork it out & then come again. To partake of it so gently is a sin in itself. Communion isn't a circumstances for a cracker & some wine in a fancy accumulating. it particularly is a time of mirrored image on how plenty it value the Lord you may have a desire of heaven. regardless of the undeniable fact that no longer bodily his flesh & blood it particularly is sacred blessed by skill of the which skill at the back of it. once you're consciously making options to sin then i'm no longer able to help yet ponder whether you particularly have a courting with the Lord previous in basic terms a ritual. He did no longer die considered one of those merciless loss of existence in order that which you will might have new rituals to accomplish.

no, a catholic cannot take communion at a protestant church because the protestants dont believe that it is really the body of our lord, and protestants cannot recieve at a catholic church because they dont have the other sacraments!
