no, your dreams reflect your own underlying thoughts and feelings

Yes God does, so basically sometimes God is warning us, or to change direction. I had dreams come true, some the very next day. It's rare, although, I believe we see things like the future through God's eyes.

Furthermore, some dreams to do with visiting a family member that has past some time ago, or recently. It is possible that it wasn't a dream, but what most people don't realize is when we sleep, and our heart rate slows down, we can astral travel, out of body experience, where the soul comes out and can visit loved ones. There's a very good chance that it wasn't a dream at all. It was your spirit making an actual visit to that loved one via astral travel.

The Bible indicates that God revealed His will to selected people through dreams or visions in Scriptures such as Genesis 8:12; 37:5-10; 1 Kings 3:5-15; Daniel, chapters 2 and 7; Matthew 1:20; 2:13,19; and Acts 10:9-16; 16:9. God may communicate through dreams or visions even today, but we need to carefully check any such guidance we receive with Scripture and godly counsel to be sure it is from the Lord. Anything which contradicts Scripture is not from God. Our minds and even Satan are capable of producing great deception in such subjective areas. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 shows that God has revealed His will to us primarily through His Word. It says, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

Yes

The strangest example occurred about 5 years after I had attempted to read the Bible and prove it wrong as an atheist.

As a Christian, shortly before going on my first mission trip, I had an extremely vivid dream in which I was directly told to read Ezekiel 3 and Zechariah 3 by two different men.

I believe this was my personal commissioning prayer, of sorts. Or perhaps better understood, it is my specific calling.

In particular, these verses:
Ezekiel 3:17-21 and Zechariah 3:10

I had kept this to myself for a time, for fear or pride, but was then convicted of pride in the very act of keeping silent...knowing that this is a message for the church at large.

...so now, I invite....and I warn.

To Him be all glory.

Joel 2:28 and afterward I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh and your sons and your daughters shall prophecy and your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions

I understand that if a dream is vibrant and alive and in color it's from God, the other guy can't do that, his dreams are negative and in shades of grey and will bring fear, where God gives hope and will confirm His Word and keep His promises
hope this helps

Once I was having a hard time with something so I prayed about it and He gave me the answer through a dream. It was an odd dream, to be sure, but the answer was quite clear - I was not letting the "old man of sin" die. When we seek Him with all our hearts He will answer us.

no, i dont. dream researchers have pretty much established that dreams are a product of the brain produced during sleep...that is, the body is sleeping but the brain is not and it continues processing things that happened or have happened in your life and sometimes become a jumbled, confused, stream during rest. god, if he exists, speaks through things like burning bushes or people alone on mountaintops or in caves, stuff like that...lol

Yes, it has happened many times but it isn't the only way. The most common way for me is just to use my "common sense" that he blessed me with. What I mean is, that he can change your way of thinking about something and try to lead you down the correct path.

possibly, but be careful, God isn't the only one who communicates through dreams...
if you really want to learn more about Him, read the Bible and learn His Word...
