Not necessarily a 'warning', but, as many other firearms do, many , if not all the Nylon 66's came with the stamped advisement to read the owner's manual before use and follow all safety rules when firing the weapon

My dad has one of the originals, and I never saw a warning on the barrel. It just says it will shoot longs or shorts.

Early ones didn't, later ones after 1985 (approx) probably have them to keep lawyers at bay from suing makers for user stupidity.

I had one once and it had no warning on the barrel!!! It was a great shooter!! Wish I still had it but I traded it in for another larger caliber rifle!!!

It says "22 LR only". But thats all I see.
