If you are intend on conversation, you should read the bible and do research on the various Christian sects to see which one you are most comfortable at a member.
As far as changing you name, you don't need to do that. That is your own personal preference. Some faiths will give you a "Christian" name, but that is separate from your secular name.

I do not live in Canada, however you can legally change your name in the US by filing with the registrar's office and paying a fee. As for converting to Christianity, no legal or even ecclesiastical permission is needed. Just go to the church of your choice and become a member. Canada is a free country. That is your right. Hope this helps.

In Christianity, there are many different denominations. Some are not as secular as others. Like The United Church of Christ. I am not promoting one over the other, only saying some are more stringent in there beliefs. You do not have to change your name. There are many Catholic Viet Namese from the days the French were there. They did not change there names. I hope you find what you are searching for.

Well too convert to Christianity, it sounds like in your heart you have , you need to find a church that your comfortable with and start going.. The members of that church will help you threw the process of getting baptized. As far as the name change, your name has nothing to do with were your heart is, But all so I no nothing about Canadian laws. Here in the U.S. we'd go to a lawyer

Well I don't know about Canada, but in the U.S. you would just go to a courthouse and get the forms to change your name. If you want to be Christian, that's your choice, there is nothing you have to do to become it. You could go get baptized in a Christian church, but christian isn't a religion, it's what you are. Religions are Baptist, or Pennecostal, or Lutheran, just to name a few. I would study up on those to see which church you would like to join.

Man you are wrong for even thinking about converting to Christianity, because 1. you probably live around people that drink ,smoke, eat pork or use drugs .. u know you dont want to go by the laws of ISLAM because is too much for you and you wont to fit in with your buddies .. well let me tell you you dont need to change your religion to fit in if your friends will not be your friends because you can't smoke drink and use drugs they are NOT YOUR FRIENDS !!!! AND WHEN YOU COME FROM YOUR COUNTRY YOU FORGET ABOUT YOUR RELIGION AND YOUR DUTY TO GOD ..BECAUSE YOU THINK MORE ABOUT MONEY WHICH IS THE MAIN REASON ANYBODY WILL DO ANYTHING FOR. I CAN GUARANTEE THAT IF YOU NEVER CAME TO CANADA YOU WOULD HAVE NOT EVEN HAD THAT IN YOUR MIND >>>> ALL I GOT TO TELL YOU DONT BE SOMETHING YOU ARE NOT JUST TO FIT IN >> I LIVE IN AMERICA AND GO THROUGH THE SAME THINGS ANY MUSLIM TEENAGER OR PERSON WOULD GO THROUGH>> I KNOW WHAT MONEY AND FRIENDS CAN DO>

The best way would be for you to pray to our heavenly Father and ask him for guidence when you read the Bible. Don't go through Religion because many false prophets are out there. Read first and get to know God and what he asks of us. Then compare the Christian churches and see which one actually does keep God's commandments. Like, if you want to be a true Christian, don't follow a religion that endorses War etc. When you start reading, God will shed light upon you to make the right choice.
God Bless you in your effort to come closer to God!

If you want to convert to Christianity as you were a Muslim in name and never liked to be a Muslim, whatever way you shall adopting shall be respectable as you are adopting the truth for truth's sake.Even, if you are disrespected and insulted by your society, yet you must be happy that you are seeking truth? But is this conversion, for the pursuit of truth or merely an attempt to amalgamate in the Christan society, for social benefits? Many mullahs converted to Christianity, while the Britishers took over India in nineteenth century, but the continued to retain their Muslim names. You do not need to change your name, unless you hate it.Even many Christans in Egypt have their name Muhammad. What else you detest? This beautiful name, which means worthy of all praise? I reinvite you to the most logical and most beautiful religion, the last and most comprehesive guidance for human being.
