No this is not healthy and you may lose weight but you will also be very sick. You need to eat a sensible diet with lots of fresh fruits and veggies and plenty of protein. Eat 3 healthy meals and a high protein snack between meals and do some exercise to lose the weight.

Im sure you will probably lose weight, but like the others said this is not healthy, and more than likely you will certainly gain it back- i was trying very hard to lose weight a couple of yrs ago and i ate tuna and crackers only-just the tuna no mayonaise, i became very irritable but i laot weight, and yes i gained it all back so i suffered for nothing. Better to exercise or take walks, go to a site that has low cal recipes so you can have a variety of foods-trust me eating only one thing gets old quick, i wish you luck i know how it is to want to lose and do it quick, but the sad fact is we either cant or we are hurting ourself by doing so and gain it back anyway.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

You can't lose 40lbs quickly and be healthy at the same time. Do it gradually. I'm sure you've known you wanted to lose it. Get some complex veggies. Broccoli, salads, with balsamic vingear dressing.. add dried cranberries, roasted almonds, tomato's green onions and romaine lettuce. Tuna and bread might be fine for lunch.. but you have to make sure your eating bread high in dietary fiber.. Not just any 'white' bread.
Get some cardio exercise and try weight training. Muscle will burn more calories too.

Possibly. Certainly you will probably get sick enough of tuna and bread, so you won't eat so much of it, so you'll probably lose weight. But such a restricted diet for such a fairly long period robs your body of much needed vitamins and minerals. Thus, your diet of tuna and bread is a prescription for disaster. You would be much better off eating a varied diet composed mostly of vegetables, fruits, and beans and whole grains, in that order. Go very easy on the fats. Exercise more. Losing weight is simply a matter of burning more calories a day than you consume, so either eat fewer calories, exercise more, or preferably, both. The secret to permanent weight loss is to eat a well-balanced diet of vegetables, fruits, beans and whole grains and to cut down as far as possible on fats and simple carbohydrates, such as sugar, white bread, etc. Good luck!

You'll probably lose weight, no it's definitely not healthy and you will certainly put it all back on very very swiftly once you go back to eating what you do now.
Is it more important to lose weight quickly or permenantly? 40lbs should take you 6 to 12 months to lose. If you want to lose weight permenantly you need to make changes that are permenant and that you can stick with.
My recommendation, Join Weight Watchers, it works, brilliantly and if you do it right, for good.

It is not healthy at all. It is not a balanced diet at all. You should always refer to the food pyramid for diets (you can find it easily on the Internet, just type food pyramid). Quick diets don't work, your metabolism will go in starvation mode and you will not be able to loose weight quickly after 1 or 2 weeks. Sorry, but if you want to slim down you have to take the healthy and balance route, which is not quick, but you will have lasting results without damaging your health.

You will probably lose some weight. However, it will not be healthy and you will eventually gain it all back. Try to lose in moderation if you can.
