You may suffer from the same syndrome I do when trying on wedding gowns:
The Dreaded Uni-Boob.
I'm well endowed in the chest area too, and there are several ways to draw attention away from your cleavage and make people look at the whole bride.

You can go with A-line wedding gowns (the ones that aren't very full at the bottom, but do bell out. Or you can go with my personal favorite, the Ball Gown. Those are the ones with the fitted tops and the SUPER poof skirt.
Both types will hide any extra curves in the lower regions. The tops for both have a few options to make you look nice and well-proportioned.

V-neck : You have to be careful with a V-neck, because too low and your grandmother will pass out, but if you have it cut just where you can start to see some boobage, you'll have a flattering neckline that will draw the eye up towards your beautiful face!
Portrait : This is the neckline that goes across your shoulders and collarbone. This will cover EVERYTHING and is a good idea if you're marrying in a Catholic church. But watch out -- it could make your shoulders look wide.
Halter : Halter will hold "the girls" up, but will most likely give you a uni-boob, unless it has a sweetheart cut.
Sweetheart :This neckline cut follows your bosoms to make a shape like the top of a heart. It's just revealing enough, and eliminates the uni-boob problem.

Lastly, try on lots of dresses that you like... If you LOVE one, but there are things that make you look bigger, ask the shop if they can alter it to make it look better for your body. They are usually very good at doing alterations, and for $100-$200 you can have the dress you want, and look the way you want in it!

Congratulations and best of luck!

(P.S. I found my dress at P.C. Mary's online and ordered it at a boutique -- their dresses are FABULOUS!)

Congradualtions! Happy days are here again. Go to a Bridal store and try on dresses with the bra made into the dress. Unless it will be made just for you. If your 36D is a concern then have sheer up there and a veil. You are a good size. Think about walking down that isle beautiful day forever one man. Can u handle that. Sexy and beautiful. Do not be ashame of your 36D now!

I'm bigger than you and I had a sleeveless. But, as you are concerned I would suggest a cap sleeve it will break up your arms/chest area. Stay away from a full sleeve as it makes the dress seem over the top and bigger than what they are. If you are worried about attention to your upper body look for a dress where most of the design is in the skirt (different color beading etc.) You may also want to try one where the material is pulled to one side one of my bridesmaids is bigger and had this design it made her look thinner (I thought it would do the exact opposite)

Even based on your build, you need to go try all sorts of styles on. I'm the same weight, a little taller, & have a DD bra. Everyone swore a halter would work best on me & could make my chest look smaller. It made me just look huge. My chest just suddenly looked wider. Finally, I tried on a strapless (which never looked good before) which flatered me perfectly. A quailty dress will allow you to go strapless if you have a bigger chest, which was something I never would have believed until I tried it on. I did personally find that a dress with a lower waist was more sliming than one with a higher wait line.

Go to a store with an optn mind, try things you would have thought before would be bad on your body. You'll be suprised how well different styles will look on you.

Scoop neck or sweetheart neckline with sleeves, long or short. You can't go strapless. For the dress part, something with a dropped waist is really flattering. Don't go for a full skirt, that's not great for your size, but rather something flowing off the hips. The type of material matters too - something in heavy bridal satin falls nicely. Just get out there and try, try, try - remembering that bridal shops usually have awesome seamstresses who can do wonders with alterations!

Mine had a short cap sleeves with a low neck and full back with some see thru parts. It fit close in the waist but had a small flair just at the hips. If you are looking in bridal shops usually you can purchase a special bra just for that dress.

Good Luck and Congrats

Congrats!!!!
Go to a store, like David's Bridal that has wedding consultants to help you and have them bring you dresses in a wide variety of styles to see what looks best on you. Once you have an idea of the style you can have your consultant bring you dresses in that style and find a dress that looks fabulous on you. Good luck!!

i think of that's totally especially. purely because of the fact that's marketed as a promenade/pagent gown does no longer propose that's the only time it must be worn. I wore a protracted white gown of the rack and so did 2 of my sisters. We saved quite some money what grew to become into extra effective spent on different issues.

a fitted bodice with a small A-line.

Too much material on bigger girls tends to make them look even bigger...but too little material doesnt do enough to hide it. You need to find that happy medium.
