how old are you? if you are not 18 i would suggest waiting until you are old enough to do it on your own legally.
any place that is willing to tattoo someone who is underage likely does not have any regard for other laws including those that govern their sterilization techniques and such.

if you ARE 18 or older then your dad really has no say. you can get a tattoo wherever you want. i wouldn't recommend getting a first tattoo anywhere highly visible hands, wrists, neck, or forearm. there is a social stigma against people with visible tattoos and it may be something that you realize too late that you really don't want to deal with.
good luck with whatever you decide!

That's the olderst question in the book. There is no right or wrong spot it's your tattoo that's wut makes it unique. It also depends on how large or small your tattoo is. An artist will never tell you where a good spot to get a tattoo is because they just don't give that kinda advice. They can however suggest you not put a certain tattoo on a certain body part if the design is hard to apply to that area. It depends on the skill of the artist, I can't really suggest where you should get your tattoo. If your afraid of pain stay away from the hands, ribs, back, neck, or any other areas close to nerve endings. Also be careful because tattoos are addictive I got three so far all in the same year just 45 days apart from each other.

When I was like 16 I really wanted a tatoo...but as I got older I changed my mind. If you have to ask your father's permission, you are probably pretty young...younger then 18 anyway. If I were you I would atleast wait until the age of 18, because you might just change your mind and getting a tattoo right now could be a mistake that you could regret when your older. After all, a tatoo is a permanent thing.

Well the first thing i want to say is that the same exact thing happened to me my dad would not let me get a tattoo but i went to get one anyways and what i did was i got a tattoo in a place that is not that noticable like your lower back. If you really dont care what your dad thinks then put it on your ankle. I have one on my lower back. Another option would be to put it right near where the hip is.
