I have been getting messages from my ex lately. First they were text messages just saying hi. I broke No Contact and responded to them. Then she sent me a message on Myspace saying that she was sorry about a phone call I got from some guy a week ago and stuff. I responded politely and just acted like it was no big deal. Then she sent me another message today asking me about where I was going to college because I never mentioned anything about it when we were going out. Then she said she was happy that i was doing good now and then she asked me if I met anyone new. First of all, she has a boyfriend so I don't know why she is going out of her way to talk to me. She is going away to college too and we were together for 2 years and I was her first, so I was a big part of her life. I don't think I can just be friends with her. I was just wondering what her intentions could be with these messages.

She wants to be friends with you. Don't ignore her. Guess you are a good friend to begin with, thats why she's quite attach to u.

ask her. It is nice that you guys can talk but consider why you broke up in the first place and then think about the relationship that you had. IF she has a boyfriend and is chatting with you their relationship must not be all of that. To keep yourself from getting hurt mentally, emotionally and also physically find out what her motives are and if they are genuine then be honest with yourself if you know that you just can't be "friends" with her then let her know that and be as nice as you can about it.

Since you were her first, you are a big part of her life and since you arent dating anymore she probably at least wants to be friends. Take it as that for now. I dont see her intentions as more than that at this point.

well maybe even though your broken up she still wants to be your friend theres nothing wrong with that but if you cant forgive her just tell her and let her down gently
