Whats the most accurate depiction of oneself? Mirror, picture, glass reflection?

Everytime I look in a mirror, then my picture, then my reflection from a glass, I look completely different in terms of weight... In the mirror, I look like 20 lbs more than from a reflection from a glass.

Does anyone know whats the most accurate depiction of oneself? The exact way others see you.

Most people get self - image from the social mirror - in other words, if we are told we are a certain way enough by others, that is our view of self.

But what you asked was more on the physical side. What we see in the glass can be biased by our self-image.

The most accurate is that of a stranger sees, but it is difficult to guage what that looks like. A portrait from a realist type of artist may be the most accurate - but then, the artist interprets what he sees.

The closest represtentation must then be a photograph, if it is unaltered - a graphc representation of a reflection of sorts.

I didn't start out trying to be philosphical, but it turned out to be that way, huh?

depends on what you mean by "accurate depiction." but if you want to see yourself like other people do, a photograph would work best. a mirror shows you in reverse while a photograph actually shows you from others' perspective.

the mose accurate is a picture because your seeing the left to right vision ..in a mirror it is backwards so your not seeing what the other person is,but they do have a true mirror now which is left to right.
