how should i go about this?

allrighty, a friend of the guy i like confirmed that he had a mutual interest in me. however-- we're both shy. i think his friend will probably tell him that i'm interested now, so once the cat is out of the bag, where do i go from here?

i definitely want to pursue him without scaring him away.
plus, he works for my dad. He seems to think that pursuing me will cost him his job-- and he relaly respects my dad, but my dad doesnt really care about who i date. He's not like "that".




Do i suggest we hang out, or let him take the initiative?

If yall both want to go out i think it would be fine, Maybe for a first date or something he could go spend time with you at your house and watch a movie or somehting and see how your dad reacts and maybe he is a good worker and a goog guy and your dad will be happy you with him and trust him...it is really up to you though if yall want to go out or not but i think it would be fine

Sorry hun but it sounds like your guy has a bit of a confidence problem. The fact that he fears for his job doesn't help your chances of him approaching you. You best bet is probably just asking him out for coffee or a beer, and then go from there.

make sure that he knows your dad will be cool about it and that he works for your dad could make things easier for ya'll. but since your shy give him green light sbut you don't have to be out there. like let him know by little thing sthat your into him. go in for a kiss maybe even a kiss on the check or somethign like that. or if he flirts with you flirt back.
