I’m American and my dad is American but my mother is from the Philippines and she immigrated to the US 20 years ago when she married my dad. I went to the Philippines this year to go to school.
I was at a boarding school in the Philippines last semester. I was staying in a village house inside the campus and a boy lived next door to me.
He talked to me for a bit and whenever he sees me he says "hi". Once when we were sitting on the bench outside of the houses he was constructing something with leaves from a nearby bush when he was with his 5 year old brother. Then he said to me, "You'd look really beautiful if you put flowers in your hair." There were flowers in the bush. Does that mean he was attracted to me? I hope so.

You don't say how old you guys are...To him you are this beautiful older American girl, very mysterious! Enjoy it, but don't expect a lot to come of it. Would you want to marry him and live in the Phillipines?

He's younger than you are. His remark is kind of a flimsy way to tell someone you like them. So I wouldn't pay attention to it. But it does show that you are looking for attention from a boy - and probably don't know where to find it in that boarding school. They must have dances, etc. Relax and meet guys in the school setting and see what happens.

nah i think he was jus being polite with u.... and even if he liked u or somethin .. u mentioned he was workin like on the fields even if was buildin somethin he obviosuly knows he stands no chance with u but was being nice just as well....on the other hand if ur attracted to him make a move.. cause im very sure he wont... he'll continue being nice n sweet to u bht thats as far as itll go !

I don't really know the culture of the phillipines.
but just from a girl's perspective I'd say he was definately into you!!
You should probably try to ask him out on a little date or something...cause i bet he'd say yes!!!

Take it for what it really was. He was merely being nice. Dont try reading anything in it unless he comes out and says that he likes you.
