I don't know the exact ratio, but I am girl and I am a pilot and I know about 50 "girl" pilots and 75 "boy" pilots. There is really not a big difference!

From my experience hanging around small airports for the last decade, the ratio seems to be about 15-20 males for every female pilot. And woe betide the attractive woman pilot; guys will descend on her like a flock of vultures. :-)
Note that these are private pilots, not airline pilots.

One of the interesting findings at the School of Aerospace Medicine at Brooks AFB in Texas is that a smaller, stockier person can pull more "G" forces therefore should do better in a dog fight. Since women tend to be shorter, they may have a theoretical advantage over men. There was also one exercise where a female pilot waxed several US Marine pilots, much to their embarrassment. They did not take it very well.

i think it's much less than that. in my previous airline, we had about 1 female pilot for every 50 male pilots. in my present airline we have about 10 female for every 1000 males. i guess it varies from airline to airline.
