I think they just work off of temperature, of course your body heat could change with your moods.

I personally love "Mood Rings" myself, however- I don't take them so seriously beyond just being a serious entertainment hobby. They're basically a lot of fun. "Mood Rings" are real enough. "Liquid Crystal" is the key ingrediante in the dome of the "Mood Ring" that causes the changes in color brought about in response to your own body's heat. They are not really too reliable in determining one's emotions or moods. There are some "Mood Rings" that do seem to be more responsive than others and appear to be somewhat accurate in indicating how you are feeling. These usually have more "Liquid Crystal" in them than other "Mood Rings" that don't have as much. "Mood Rings" and all types of "Mood Jewelry" are more entertainment than anything.

Mood rings have some element of truth. The ring is based on body temperature which changes the colors. IF one is anxious we tend to give off less heat which may turn the ring a different color then if we are relaxed or mad, which would show as different colors.

umm.I like mood rings because they look neat. They change color and everything. No I don't think that they are truly real. They change color because of the temperature of your finger. So if your hand is warm you could be angry or nervous. So that is why they change color. I don't think that they always show your inner emotion. Just a fun thing to have and to show off. Sometimes they are right though.

Mood rings only tell your external body temperature. Some people believe that your body temp can be an indicator of your emotions too. I had one in the 1970's when they first came out. They were cool back then and I kept it next to my pet rock and my lava lamp.

I had a mood ring when I was younger. The color changes as your body temperature varies is how I understand they work.

I have never known mood rings to truly work for me but I know some people who think they are great. The ring works by picking up on the amount of body heat being generated through your finger.

I think that they just go by your body temperature. When people are upset they tend to get warm. You know things like that. I don't really think they can tell your emotions or mood.

I think they look cool. But no, I think they basically react to the heat in your finger. The best way to get in touch with your inner feelings is to get to know yourself better though.

They're not real...I had one a while ago, but that's just because I thought it looked pretty. What it does it it has something in it that changes color according to how warm it is. If it's cold it'll turn a color, and it'll gradually change colors according to how hot it gets.
