I cannot cook without caraway seeds. Even cheese on toast is not the same without them.

Okay garlic is another that though it is not unusual, it is a staple.

Any kind of mushroom.

Another one I have just remembered was in a restaurant in Riga where we were given slices of bread and dripping made from pork dripping and onions, garlic and salt. I thought I would hate it - but it really was quite something. Just as well it was there because the restaurant was packed and there was only one waitress - and I am diabetic.

In that same restaurant was a dish called Mama raud, Meita raud, which means mother cries, daughter cries - and I should think the bull would be too - turned out the dish was bulls testicles - was not brave enough to try that though. I needed to eat and hold it down! My mother and I laughed though - until we cried.

I am totally addicted to;adore. the Korean side dish of KIMCHI!
It's basically a pickle; you make it from pak choi, or chinese cabbage, cut into quarters, and soaked overnight in a basin of heavily salted water; finely chopped carrotl freshly grated ginger, hot red chillis, and garlic and more garlic, finely crushed or ground. In addition, you will need chilli powder, to give it colour.
You lift the salted pak choi out of the basin, so it retains some water, and mix with the other ingredients, then bottle in clean jars with tight fitting lids. In Korea, they store the jars underground, out of the light; but any cool dark place will do fine.
Very hot, very garlicky, but it will keep all sniffles and sneezes at bay!

I love to use red wine vinegar when cooking it adds a spicy tang that goes well with tomato dishes and also is great in sauces. I use it for curries, pasta dishes and Chinese meals too.
I am also a big fan of exotic fruits and always try to adapt recipes to include the latest crazy looking gourd or citrus delight the shops have to offer me.

Peanut butter and raison sandwich. OMG THEY ARE SO GOOD. Also, I like grilled creamcheese and raspberry jam sandwiches. And my famous raspberry omlette. i was making an omlette, I took out a plastic container thinking they were cherry tomatoes. It was too late when I realized they were raspberries. I added avocado and cheese and it was THE BOMB! I make it aloit now.

I'm assuming you are talking about food. I'm not much of a cook but I was told once to put orange juice on chicken thats being grilled and it actually tasted really yummy. Gave it a caribbean like taste:)

In the event it's a fruit it includes seeds, otherwise it's a vegetable. And vegetables are usually grown in the ground while fruits are grown in trees.

O.K. Peanut butter and Bacon sandwiches are great!!! Also, make some box mac and cheese, then take can tuna mixed with Miracle whip, and mix it in the mac and cheese!!! It's great!

Capers. I had them in a restaurant with a fish dish a while back. Now use them in all fish dishes, and really lovely with tuna mayo!

A friend of mine once made macaroni pudding (a bit like rice pudding but with macaroni) I wasnt quite sure but its delicious. Very Creamy.
