The best sections of Eugene are:
Northeast Eugene in the Coburg Rd, Cal Young Rd, Wilakenzie areas ... basically from Delta Highway to I-5 north of I-105; and the South Hills area.

The areas that Bethel school district covers are generally the some of the poorer working class neighborhoods, most of which are actually just outside the incorporated city of Eugene. However, in the past 10 years a number of new housing has gone up in the area and there are some nice neighborhoods. The area is along Beltline Rd after it turns south near highway 99 and on to west 11th, and the area just east, and all the way west.

The poorest areas of Eugene, and the ones (IMO) to avoid are River Road south of Beltline, Westmoreland Community, and the downtown areas around 6th/7th and washington/Lincoln streets.

Anywhere 300 miles north, south, east, or west of Eugene, is the best area to live in. I grew up there. It's a great place to visit but it bites to live there. Remember they just added a new income tax!
