My symptoms lasted about 4 days after my gall bladder surgery. If you truly feel something is wrong, trust yourself. No one knows your body like you do. Push the issue with your doctor or see someone different.

It has been about 5 years since I've had gallbladder surgery. The symptoms will ease up, but for me it took awhile and even today there are still some foods that I can't eat without having stomach problems. Also, although not as often before the surgery, I still have flare ups where the doctor just put me on some medication that is supposed to help neutralize the excess bile sitting in the stomach. After researching and visiting forums I found out that lots of people still suffer symptoms after surgery.

I had gallbladder surgury about a year ago and had no problems. My mother had surgury about 6 months ago and had the same symptoms as you do. She said it's getting better though. She actually lost about 20 lbs because she had little appatite and had diareaha all the time. She has started gainning her weight back and is feeling better in the last couple of months. Hang in there, I hope you feel better soon. If you don't feel better in a few months or things get worse go back to the doctor.
It could be something in your diet that your body can't process to well yet.

Approximately 10 percent of patients who have been operated upon for gallbladder disease will continue to have symptoms after surgery. These symptoms are thought to be caused by spasms of the lower end of the common bile duct (biliary dyskinesia). However, they are rarely severe or disabling. Most postoperative symptoms can be adequately relieved by antispasmodic medication.
The bile ducts take over the duties of the gallbladder. This may take three to four months before it works smoothly, and during this interval the patient may suffer from mild indigestion or pains caused by spasm of the common bile duct.
The patient should stay the same kind of diet he followed before surgery, that is, a bland low-fat diet.
If gallbladder has been removed, they cannot re-form stones in the gallbladder. However, a very small percentage of patients may re-form stones in the common bile duct or in the stump of the cystic duct which has been left behind.

even if it is your husband's gallbladder it truly is causing the project, then eliminating it is going to thoroughly clean up the project. i'm retired x-ray tech and can't start up to inform you the way many cases i have x-rayed a gallbladder! likely thousands. The radiologist can tell if the gallbladder is causing issues from those x-rays. So, in case your well being care service is telling you the surgical treatment will restore issues, you are able to almost make particular that it will artwork. Your husband could manage to eat something after his surgical treatment (after he's recuperated). besides the undeniable fact that, tell him a steak once in a lengthy time period is effective yet he needs to observe his ldl cholesterol.

I HAD MY GALLBLADDER REMOVED 5YEARS AGO AND I STILL HAVE PROBLEMS WITH DIAREAHA. I ALSO HAVE IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME THOU. I GET NAUSEATED WHEN I EAT CERTAIN FOODS WHICH CAUSE DIAREAHA. SO I AM GONNA HAVE TO SAY NO IT MAY NOT GO AWAY. HOWEVER YOU MIGHT TRY ELIMINATING FOODS WHICH CAUSE EITHER DIAREAHA OR NAUSEA. I FIND THAT GREASY, FATTY, FOODS CAUSE MAJOR PROBLEMS. LIKE CANDY, CHOCOLATE, DIARY PRODUCTS, FIBER. ALL CAUSE ME PROBLEMS, SO I EITHER EAT THEM SPARINGLY OR NOT AT ALL.
HOPE THIS HELPS SOME. GOOD LUCK

I had my gallbladder removed 4 years ago and depending on what I eat even now gives me diarrhea almost instantly. See if there is something common in what ever you are eating before it happens.

It took me about 4 months to finally get over all the post op stuff. It's just while your body readjusts to the bile going straight into the digestive system (so I was told). I still get it sometimes particuarly when I've eaten something fatty. If you are worried the bes thing to do is talk to your dr about it :-)
Best wishes
