The Earth has been massively warmer than this before. It's also been massively colder. The Earth does not have a problem at all with high temperatures, so there's nothing to 'recover' from. The Earth as it is today is NOT how it's always going to be, nor is it 'normal'. It's simply the way it is now. Good for humans is not the optimum temperature range for the planet itself (if indeed, the planet itself has an optimum temperature range).

As you can see, the Earth as it is, is pretty cold. And it's clearly going to go through many more cycles before the Sun runs out of fuel. Humans will easily survive almost any climate shift, so there's nothing to worry about at all from theorised guessing about warming trends, when we can't even predict the local weather for next week.

Just speaking personally, I'd say it puts my very existence in peril, because if this global warming thing makes it any colder, I'm going to freeze my @ss off. Listen pal, don't buy in to it. Do a little research. Learn who is pushing "global warming" and why. Like they always say "Follow the money". The earth has been much warmer than it is now, even without your SUV or everyone enjoying a nice, juicy Big-Mac. These kooks would have you believe that cow farts are ruining the world, for heaven sakes. Which would you suppose puts more flatulence in the atmosphere, a thousand lb. cow or a twenty ton brontosaurus? Of course the dinosaurs only survived a hundred million years wth all this farting going on. Listen, nobody really knows what the "average" temperature of the earth is. Maybe we've been colder than normal for the past thousand years (a mere second of time in the whole scheme of things). I mean come on, we've only had thermometers for what, a couple of hundred years. Anecdotal evidence suggests that the Vikings were growing crops on Greenland a thousand years ago. Anyway, just take what you hear with a grain of salt.

The world will survive. But global warming will be a very bad thing.
It will cost rich countries huge sums of money to cope with coastal flooding and damage to agriculture. The standard of living will go down.
Poor countries already struggling to feed themselves will not be able to cope. Many people (not all) will die of starvation.
There's no reason to exaggerate the effects of global warming, like "we're all gonna die". The reality is bad enough.
We need to:
Conserve energy. Not stop doing things, just do them more efficiently.
Develop alternative sources of energy; nuclear, solar, wind, clean coal.
Develop methods to capture (sequester) carbon dioxide.

no longer gonna take place.....we are in extra danger from a rouge asteroid than worldwide warming, climate replace or despite is the term of the day. The earth has an excellent potential to heal itself and we are a pittance of a speck whilst in comparison with what's placed into the ecosystem by skill of the earth itself and the end results of the sunlight.

the world will survive dont worry about that
but we are gonna be in trouble
Global warming is in theory reversable, but it will mean global co operation between all countries ,and taking into account human nature and the world politics ,it is unlikely that this will happen,
At least not untill we are all in the middle of planetary disastres and it becomes a battle for the survival of humanity every where.
SOLUTIONS
if you want to help the planet ,plant a tree every week ,if everyone on the planet did we we would be able to reverse the destructive processes
reduce carbon emisions, and they are already working on that by alternative forms of energy and regulations on carbon producing materials, aerosol cans, burning rubbish, industrial chimneys, powerplants etc.
the capture of carbon and the production of water and assist the aquiferous manta.
the world bank pays large subsidies for reforrestation to capture carbon and the best tree for this is the Pawlonia
Waterharvesting projects ,such as millions of small dams.to redirect over ground waterflows from the rains into the ground to supply subteranian water supplies.
the protection of existing forrests.
stop building more highways, urban planning to include vegetation stop building cities encourage people to return to the land to conduct their business from there which now has become possible thanks to the internet.
education to motivate people to auto sufficiency by building more home food gardens.
education on environmental awareness
education on family planning to curb over´populaion
Agricultural education and improvements to follow the principals or sustainability and soil management.
more environmental or land ,design to prevent bush fires, such as--fire breaks
,more dams.regulations and control for public behaviour
alternative effeciant public transport to discourage the use of the internal conbustion engine
recicling wastes,limit water use
