So I painted my accent wall what I thought was bronze per the sample, but dried into a burnt orange. Lucky me, it is one of my favorite colors, but not at all what I expected to be on my wall this morning. This twist kind of screws up my plans for the other walls, which were to be a light beige...that now seems questionable. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what is a nice color - preferably more neutral and way less bold than burnt orange - that will compliment the color?

Yes I agree with the creamy colors, creamy yellow. Maybe try a color called "Butter Cookie" from your local home depot, which is a Bher color, I'm not saying to use this paint brand but maybe if you liked it take it to your local paint store you like and they should be able to match. It's a sweet color and also has a slight orange hew but think they will compliment one another. Good luck Les the painter

A cream colour will work nice - definitely stay in the natural zone. We did our bedroom in chocolate, vanilla and burnt orange and it's beautiful. If you find a good dark yellow, that could work, too. It all depends on what colour your furniture is and the style, too.

Grab a bunch of samples from the paint store, and post them up on the wall and see what you like. You may be suprised at how things turn out!

Good luck!

I would definitely use a burgundy rug. That would look excellent! Why don't you use clothing to help you decide? Lay a piece of clothing on the floor to see if you like that color in that spot. Just repeat until a certain color of clothing seems to "fit'.

I would go with a light coffee color. It's still a neutral, but has a little more depth.
