If he is loving his neighbor as himself, he is being a faithful Christian.

Catholics are not all that involved in converting others to the Catholic faith. It may have to do with the fact that we see ALL people as being made in the image of God.

well, the link won't show any information other than his name (Fr Joe, slum priest). From what you've said, though, it sounds like he is being a faithful Christian. Jesus praised giving a drink of water for the sake of his name. If kids need help, then Christians should help them. It sounds like his approach is that of Mother Theresa of Calcutta, who would help people who needed help, even to the point of helping them find ministers of their own religion if they were non-Christiand and dying.

Was it not Jesus himself who said 'Suffer little children to come unto me'?
Children carry no sin and especially when it is thrust upon them by others. The days of the son bearing the sin of his father died when Jesus did. Try reading the New Testament along side the Old Testament.

No he is a very faithful Christian for showing a perfect example of the Love and Compassion of Christ.
