Psst... No, I play video games all the time, I am 14. I read the bible daily, the only thing that matters is the kind of video game. Don't play video games that are highly violent, or have things that go against the bible's moral standards. For example, Grand Theft Auto, is not a video game that would be "good" to play. On the other hand, Madden NFL is not violent. And the time you spend on the games should also be meassured, but it is alright to play video games.

Ask God to help you be wise about the games you play (and not just video games, but all forms of entertainment). Does some of the entertaiment you indulge attack God or the Christian faith, or even exalt Satan? Do some promote immorality, violence. or other forms of behavior that displease God? Let the psalmist's commitment be yours: "I will have nothing to do with evil" (Psalm 101:4).
The Bible constantly urges us to fill our minds with good and true things because our thoughts will shape our behavior. We therefore need to control what goes into our minds. 'We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ' (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)."

It depends on if playing video games gets in your way of loving God, loving your neighbor, or loving yourself.
