Do you believe in Heaven and Hell? Are they places that you go after you die? Do they exist - or are they just states of mind?

By the way - I am Christian and I do believe in God, I try to go to church as often as I can [ which is hard because my parents are buddist and I'm christian. ] It's just that, I find the theory of Heaven contradicting. See, if it's supposed to be the happiest place you've ever been to, what if someone you love is in hell? Do you remember them? Do you forget them? And if you forget them, how is that being happy? Isn't that like shutting out all bad memories, like you're in denial?

I don't believe in Heaven and Hell. I am of the opinion that when one dies, that is the end.

They exists. But they are in different dimensions. Sometimes, hell is just something on Earth.
Example if you are going to suffer in the Hell of fire, you will become an animal like flying ants which always went into people's fire place and burnt itself. This is actually a Hell for 'em.
Sometimes Heaven is on Earth too. People that are rich and wealth and happy in their life, do they feel like they are in Heaven. Yes. This is a form of Heaven in this world too.
But if you are talking that somewhere in the sky is Heaven and somewhere in the Earth is Hell...this I'm not really sure.
Some people says that only people have souls. What about animals and insects? What are they? They don't have souls? They won't go to Heaven or Hell? Well, this is too near to sensitive topics. So I won't talk more...
Yeah,I believe in live after death. Souls of organisms may become animals or human on Earth or somewhere else in the universe depends on what they did in their life--good or bad.

I believe in Heaven and Hell. They are actual places not just a state of mind. Hell is the absence of being with Jesus and I think Heaven is totally without words that can describe it (in this earthly body).

You need to work backward. Your first question should be, "is the Word of God true?" From there, you can answer any of the other questions based on the findings therein.
My blog in the link below proves without doubt that the BIble was written by God through man and is indeed true. And I certainly would not bet my eternal soul that it is wrong.
The Bible says that hell is a real place--not a state of mind. Jesus spoke of hell as a real place. Paul spoke of hell as a real place. The Angel prophesying to Daniel said it was a real place, and Isaiah said that is a real place. John in Revelation described it detail.
The Bible says that heaven is a real place--not a state of mind. Jesus spoke of heaven as a real place. Paul spoke of heaven as a real place. The Angel prophesying to Daniel said it was a real place, and Isaiah said that is a real place. And John in Revelation also described heaven detail.
I would not bet my eternity on manmade philosophies and against the Word of God.

No. I do not know what happens when we die, no one does. But I do not believe in the Christian idea of heaven and hell.

The answer to your question could be extremely long. I would just suggest to go and buy yourself an New International Version Bible ( NIV) from Wal-Mart. Wal Mart is much cheaper than a religious book store.

I'd like to think there is alot more to our life than a few decades of existence. I also like to think that if we are wrongdoers we will pay for it all too somehow in the end of our time. There must be more than just this is all I can believe.

I believe in some form of after life. Non- believers should take a look at our existence on this earth as a sign.
