I am 17 years old and i have acne since my 13. I haven't break out for more than 2 months but i still have some red things one my face (like red scars). Is that normal? Is that a "message" that i will rid of acne very soon?

Good for you that you have gone two months without a breakout. My daughters' Dr. prescribed a clindamyacin solution that she applies after she washed her face. The difference was amazing. She looks great now (she is 15). You might want to try that. I have used Accutane in the past and while it worked, it made my joints hurt and you have to have labs done every month. If you can stay with something less aggressive, you're better off. My Dr. said that acne typically lasts about 10 years regardless of your age at onset. You're almost half way through this....
Good Luck.

Try this for acne:

Accutane-an antibiotic and Ziana- a new acne gel. See your dermotologist. Also wash face with cool or cold water, never hot. And never use scrubs or toners, they aggravate acne. Use a mild cleanser and mositurizer like Cetaphil.

Best Wishes

As long as your hormones in teenage time will act up your acne will be there too...If you could change your diet, increase exercise and use a all natual antibiotic like Oil of Oregano you could become more healthier..You can use it internally and externally and it works ..a viral and bacterial infection. In your case take double dosages. Avoid sugar as every bacteria and virus grows on sugar. On a sore or boil/ pimple you can also put a piece of Aloe vera as a band- aid. Tape it on the infection spot. Change daily.
