Well, most of the files that you download from bit torrent are illegal. Song formats like mp3, movies in avi format or dvd games which have been hacked and cracked and put through to all kinds of programming, all of them are illegal. the only legal parts are those that are allowed to be downloaded. like trial versions maybe available with many p2p software clients that you can download from. these trials are provided in order to save bandwidth on the main server. so these are legal and can be downloaded. Some tv stations do offer tv channels that can be watched through P2P for free and legal.

Never ask ............ Never Tell.
But, I will assume if it not something like; Bobby Bo and the Ridge Runners from 1942 then it probably Copyright Protected and illegal.
Now let's think. Say you "Buy" a CD at the store and you come home. (Maybe you bought at a Shop on vacation in another State) The CD is bad and will not play. You have bought the Rights to Play your CD and you can not return it. We must then ask; "Can I legally download the music I paid to get"?
