can someone help me with some information I can understand.
My husband works a regular full time job but also does farming on this side. He uses "Anhydraous Ammiona Gas" when spraying for pesticides and comes in Direct Contact with it he does not use gloves or wear mask when handling. So when breathing it and getting it on his hands and stuff. Can this cause him to have a Positive Urine test for "Amephetamines"?
I have found that they both have alot of the same ingedints. Alot of the infor I found is confusing to me. So if someone can give me insight on this because his job is on the line. Which we can't afford for him to lose.

Ammonia gas shouldn't interfere with an amphetamine drug test in turning it positive.

Significant amounts of ammonia CAN render a test negative however. Some systems can check for the presence of ammonia in a sample and will flag the sample as having been adulterated (i.e. had something added to it to deliberately make it negative). However, you need quite a lot of ammonia to do this. It could be that your husband is in trouble not because the test was positive but because it showed up ammonia and was flagged as him trying to cheat the drug test.

No...even if there was a rare crossreactivity with an inexpensive screening methodology confirmation with GC/MS would rule out amphetamine abuse.

It won't show up unless he's mixing the AAG with the other ingredients needed for meth. Seriously..just handling AAG won't show up.
