Yes & No. I would know he didn't want a serious relationship but I kept messing with him hoping I could change his mind. All that did was get me really angry & feeling foolish later, bcz as long as a guy has his way, he will do what you let him do. Basically I was allowing myself to be "used" just because I thought I could change his mind in the process, when really all I did was GET USED and that's IT.

Yes, I have on more than one occasion. Unless both want a commitment at the same time in life, it would be only one sided and that's not a good feeling but not all is lost. Some couples are willing to stay together (if mature enough) and can enjoy each other for the sensual pleasures and friendship which can be full filling for a time and quite nice.
So if you are able to settle for this when he/she's not ready, go for it, other wise, it's best to move on (stay friends if possible) we can never have enough good friends.

no, but i was that guy.
Kellie decided that though i was fun and funny i was in the end "not ready for a serious relationship."
at the time i could not understand why she said that,
but now i realize that someone who drinks a pint of Beam every night and then stuffs his face with Lortabs and oxycontins is probably not ready for a serious realtionship.

so i cleaned up my act. and am doing much better now because of what kellie knew and i didn't.
too bad she lives in oregon now, i really liked that girl...

I have and we are still friends because I explained to him that I need to know that he is there for me but i need a deeper more meaningful relationship the he is willing to give me. Also explain to him that you understand that he doesnt want the same but rather then continuing the relationship and risking the friendship you would like to end it now.
