I need to know if there is an organization that helps people transport their pets, or of any programs. My whole life will be stuffed into my tiny car, with room only for the carseat. I don't havem uch money to do this, but I really want to keep my cat, and no one can keep her for me.

We did a 22-hour trip before and even with being somewhat sedated, she cried the whole way and I could not get her to eat, drink or go to the bathroom. She was totally distressed, and it was upsetting for both of us.

Save yourself a lot of room in the car and have most of your nonessential belongings shipped to your new home. This will leave plenty of room in the car for the cat's carrier. I recently moved from Michigan to Florida and UPS only charged $24 to ship a very large box of clothes.

ask your local vet for a sedative for the cat (even though it might be tempting to take one yourself. lol)

I bet you can put her in a small carrier and put her on the seat next to you or at the bottom of the car by the seat next to you. You can save space by sending one of your bags or suitcases or boxes by post or UPS to wherever you're going, and taking it there! It will be easier and cheaper than sending the cat over! When i moved abroad I sent all my clothes and books to my new address, and by the time they got there I had already moved there and received them.
