At first it feels kind of like butterflies twittering around. The further you get along the more pronounced the movements are. And twords the end, yes, it can hurt. They are so big that they can sometimes kick you in places that don't feel too good. But its awesome anyway because you're creating a life!!

It is the most amazing feeling in the world. I remember the feelings each time I was pregnant. I just gave birth a couple of days ago and remember the movements up until the baby was delivered.
I wouldn't say it hurts, but it depends on how big the baby is and where it is moving.

it depends on where the baby's shoving it's limbs ... Rib shots are killer! And when the baby pushes out with all it's strength, as if it's trying to escape through your belly button, that hurls. But for the most part it does feel amazing, the kicking and rolling. It's awesome and I can't wait to feel it again ! I used to poke and provoke my son to move around all the time... built in entertainment where ever you go!

In the early months it feels like a fish flopping around in your belly. In the 8th and 9th month the kicks can be annoying because the baby wants to kick while you're trying to sleep. But I wouldn't say it hurts.

I had some painful kicks towards the end of pregnancy, but through most of it I felt little pushes, it is a difficult feeling to describe. During my last trimester my husband thought my stomach looked like something out of an alien movie there was so much movement!

When the baby is still little, around 5/6 months, i kind of feels like muscle spasams. At around 6.5/7 months it feels like you have something kicking you fromt he inside.
Yes, you can see the baby moving. If you feel the baby poking out at your tummy, you can watch your tummy and see bits and parts poking out. And Yes, it hurts sometimes. They push out really hard sometimes.

It doesn't hurt when a baby moves or kicks or when you see elbows or feet. It's funny to watch! :) The funniest I ever had it was with my last baby. He had the hiccups alot. This one time, I was somewhere I had to sit for a couple of hours. Baby had the hiccups so bad, I was bouncing out of my seat. People kept looking at me funny, and I just told them that my baby had hiccups. It was hillarious!

the feeling range from "bubbles" flutters to pushing and kicking the only time it ever really hurt me was when I got closer to the end of my pregnancy and the little bugger got his / her feet what felt like up under my ribs. That or the downward push with the feet - it you know what I mean. But over all it's a wonderful feeling

It feels different depending on the woman and pregnancy. With my first pregnany, it just felt like something moving in my stomach and the bigger she got, the more it hurt when she moved. With this pregnancy, it feels like gas, lol. It also depends how high/low you carry the baby (first was high, this one is low). Most articles you read will tell you that when the baby first starts moving it feels like 'flutters'. I never felt that, to me I felt hungry even if I wasn't.
So pretty much, you'll know and there's is no one feeling.
