The "third eye" is known to be the pineal gland. That is a portion deep within your brain. The pineal gland is occasionally associated with the sixth chakra (also called Ajna or the third eye chakra in yoga). It is believed by some to be a dormant organ that can be awakened to enable "telepathic" communication.
In the physical body the eye views objects upside down. It sends the image of what it observes to the brain which interprets the image and makes it appear right side-up to us. It is also long thought to have mystical powers. If you want to know my religion and more you can email me. :)

As a followers of Jesus Christ and true saints of God, we see and understand the world from the view of God's Holy Spirit whom He sends down to dwell inside the ones who have accepted Gods Gift of Grace Jesus Christ. This is called being "born of the Holy Spirit". We are all still sinners in the eyes of God, but now have been made clean by the sacraficial blood of Jesus Christ. Since we have sincerely chosen to live our lives for God through His Son Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, we now see the world and all manifestations in it from a higher spiritual plain of existence. We now have spiritual discernment that will grow as we grow in maturity and our relationship with our Father in heaven. An awareness that allows us to see the world and how it really is. We now can understand why we were born, what our purpose is on earth and were we will be going. We know who we really are and the reason for our being. The Holy Spirit give us spiritual strength that councils us as we go through life to make sure we stay on the right path in the Word, the Will, and the Ways of God. The Holy Spirit will convict us when necessary if we start to stray (sin) from the knowledge of truth that we have acquired from our Father. In essence, we have separated ourselves from the rest of the world; we must live in this world but we cannot become part of it because we now know the difference between good and evil, what is the truth and what is the lie, what is right and what is wrong. We actually have the ability to live our lives in righteousness according to the Word of God. That doesn't mean we are better than anyone else, only different. We now know how we should be acting as true saints and members of God's Family and joint heirs with Jesus Christ in the coming Kingdom of God on earth.

the third eye is a symbolic term for inner vision ... using our sixth sense
yes some people may see this eye while doing visualisations etc , but that is only symbolic
