ive got £1000 to buy a used car. My last car was a nissan micra it gave me no problems. I dont know which car to buy, i only use it on the weekends and it needs to be automatic. Im in London so something big wont be useful as there is never anywhere to park.
Is a susuki vitara a good choice?

Keep to a another nissan micra. Very reliable and cheep to run. Plenty around. Avoid the new shape though not as reliable.

for £1000 you could buy a Ford Fiesta in very good condition and it will last forever .
PS a Vitara costing £1000 would be a nightmare don't do it !

forget the vitara,u dont need a 4x4 stay with nissan or toyota.

I'd say another micra would be as good as any. £1k will buy you a scrapper vitara.
Most cars are reliable if you look after them.

I bought a peugeot 106, very reliable. you can not beat nissan or Ford though

A mini is definatly the most reliable.
But you could get a fiesta for that but i wouldn't recomend that because they have problems with their ball joints and rust.
And what ever you do DON'T get a ford ka. They are death traps
