Online, actually. We met after chatting online for about two weeks. We've been together for just under four years, and I know he's looking for engagement rings. :)
It helps that we're both older. Had we met at younger ages, I doubt we would have been mature enough to handle something this intense (it's a good intense!).

My neice's dad's best friend. We met 15 years ago, I was married at the time and thought nothing of it. He found me on a online dating website years later(13years). I didnt know it was him at first until we started talking...we have been together for about a year and come to find out he always had a crush on me. It has been amazing.

I actually found mine online... but that doesn't always work I would assume, as there have been plenty horror stories about same.
In the end, it doesn't matter where you hang out. If you're meant to fall in love, it will happen where ever you are.

Ok this won't help you but it IS a great story. My hubby's grandmother lived across the street from my house when I was a girl. He would visit her every weekend. My older sister and I didn't get along at the time. One day she and my cousin were on the front porch staring across the street at him, debating who would have the guts to ask him out. I walked out and asked what they were doing and they told me. I said, "you want me to ask him out for you?" of course she said yes. I walked across the street, kissed him on the lips, told him that he was the hottest guy I had ever laid eyes on and asked him to go out with me that night. Well of course HE said yes too. I walked back across the street, looked at my sister, smiled and said, "*****!" and went out with him that night. I fully intended on never dating him again after that night, but when we got back to my house I invited him in and we were watching the world series. He asked me if I was seeing someone and I said, "yes". We made a bet on game 2 of the series. If the sox won, I had to date my him for one month, if the mets won, he had to leave me alone. To make a long story short, my mets lost game 2 but won the series. I broke up with my boyfriend, and I am still with my hubby 20 years later. :)
